Series Description KWSU Media is proud to announce a new series highlighting the work of western artist Fred Oldfield. A cowboy, a painter and an oral historian, Fred’s images depict the romantic and the hardship of life on the western frontier. His art brings his own experiences to life. From the billowing dust of cattle drives to a lonesome cowboy, to enduring the penetrating cold of a Northwest winter, Fred captures and transmits an intensity of feeling and emotion in each of his paintings. In this series, he takes viewers on a personal tour of the west, demonstrating the special techniques that have made Fred Oldfield’s western art famous.
